Lexi’s Story

At 12 months she was diagnosed with Autism since she was delayed in every skill. At 14 months she had a 15 min seizure and was airlifted to Children's in DC. That is were our lives changed forever. After a MRI and lots of blood test they determined her real diagnoses, Tay Sachs. There is no cure for this disease. The symptoms that follow this are paralysis, deafness, blind, and death. Anyday she could go on a feeding tube and that will be the beginning of the end. She has a life span of 3 to 5 years old. She is 18 months now.
